Club Rules and Regulations
Formed

RULES
1).
The name of the club shall be LA MOYE DANCING CLUB and
referred to hereinafter as ‘The Club'.
2).
The object for which The Club is formed is to provide
facilities for Ballroom Dancing.
3).
Membership of The Club is available to adults over the age
of 16 years.
4).
Membership of The Club shall be restricted to 180.
5).
The subscription payable by members of The Club shall be
determined at the Annual General Meeting each year.
6).
The Club shall be managed by a committee, consisting of The
Chairman, The Secretary, The Treasurer and such number (not
exceeding 9) of the Members as The Club, in General meeting,
shall determine.
7).
a. The Committee may exercise all the powers of The Club,
subject to these rules and subject to such regulations as
may be prescribed by The Club in General Meeting.
b.
Expend the funds of The Club to the benefit of the members.
c.
Open a Bank Account in the name of The Club.
d.
Appoint Sub-Committees to assist the carrying out of the
activities of The Club.
e.
Fill any casual vacancy.
8).
Not less than 3 members of The Committee and A Chairman
shall form a Quorum.
9).
The Committee shall meet as often as is necessary for the
proper conduct of its business.
10).
A Committee meeting may be called at the request of either
The Chairman or not less than 3 Committee Members, who shall
signify their desire to the Secretary.
11).
Guests may be admitted at the discretion of the Committee.
12).
The Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer shall hold office for
one year, but may offer themselves for re-election at the
following Annual General Meeting.
13).
An Annual General Meeting shall be held to: -
a.
Report on the years activities.
b.
Report The Club's financial Position, showing Audited
Accounts.
c.
To elect a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, also to
form a Committee.
d.
To appoint Auditors, who must not be Committee
Members.
e.
To transact any other business.
14). A Special General
Meeting may be Convened at any time at the request of the
Chairman or of not less than 15 members who must signify
their desire in writing to The Secretary, stating the
purpose of the meeting.
15).
Not less than 25 members present should form a Quorum for
the General Meeting.
16).
These Rules may only be amended by The Club in General
Meeting.
17).
The Club may only be dissolved by Members in General Meeting
and in the event of dissolution The Members shall determine
the distribution of all property remaining after
satisfaction of all debts and liabilities of The Club. Any
Resolution proposed for the dissolution of The Club must be
given, in writing, to The Secretary not less than 30 Days
before the holding of a General
Meeting.
18). The proper dress for male
members is considered to be lounge suit or dinner jacket but
other suitable attire is acceptable. Jackets may be
removed but a tie or cravat should be worn.
